Advanced Volunteer Management Symposium 2024

Welcome to the home of the 2024 Advanced Volunteer Management Symposium - an online global development programme for managers looking for innovative ways to operate.

This eight week programme begins on Monday 5th February 2023 in the UK and simultaneously in Australia and NZ on Tuesday 6th February 2024. We welcome participants from across the world to join this unique opportunity.

During the Sympoisum you will be:

  • challenged by two leading thinkers and activists in the volunteer management space;

  • meet managers and leaders of volunteers seeking innovation; and

  • be immersed in a special problem solving tool we call Circles.

In 2024, we are thrilled to have Sue Carter Kahl and Breauna Dorelus as our expert presenters:

Sue has dedicated her professional life to working and volunteering within the nonprofit sector and uses this experience, along with current research amongst communites globally, to help people make meaning from what’s currently going on.

Breauna is convinced that in order to produce real transformational change, we must be willing to check our mindsets, of volunteering and service. We must look at those we partner with as humans first and tackle and dismantle our current narrative and traditional norms around volunteering.
